Prince Edward Visits Andrew Over Easter Amid Concerns About His Well-being

Prince Edward reportedly spent part of the Easter weekend visiting his older brother, Prince Andrew, at his residence on the Sandringham Estate, amid growing concerns over Andrew’s mental and emotional state.

The visit, which included Edward’s wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, is understood to be the first time a senior royal has seen Andrew since he withdrew from public life and relocated to Norfolk.

Sources suggest the trip was intended as a quiet, supportive gesture — a chance for Edward to check in on his brother during an increasingly difficult period.

The trip to see him at his temporary Wood Farm home (pictured) was described as 'a brotherly welfare check'

Andrew’s situation has become more serious in recent weeks as a police investigation into his alleged connections with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues to develop. The ongoing scrutiny is said to have taken a toll on him, leaving those close to him worried about both his mental and physical well-being.

While King Charles III has taken a firm stance — distancing Andrew from royal duties and relocating him away from Windsor — Edward is believed to be playing a more personal role behind the scenes, offering support while acknowledging the seriousness of the situation.

According to insiders, Edward and Sophie shared a private dinner with Andrew during their visit, where they spoke candidly about recent events. Although they feel sympathy for him, they are also aware that his circumstances cannot be ignored or justified.

Andrew, however, maintains his innocence and believes he will eventually clear his name.

The visit by Edward, accompanied by his wife Sophie (pictured together in November 2025), was the first by any member of the Royal family since Andrew went into 'exile' in Norfolk

Publicly, Edward has emphasised the importance of focusing on the victims connected to the Epstein case. Privately, though, he — along with Princess Anne — is understood to remain concerned about what lies ahead for their brother.

Reports of tension between the siblings over accommodation arrangements at Sandringham have been downplayed. Sources insist there is no real conflict and that Edward’s visit was motivated solely by concern, not any disagreement.

During the Easter period, Edward and Sophie stayed at an alternative property on the estate, as Andrew was still residing at Wood Farm while preparations for his permanent move to Marsh Farm were being completed.

Andrew has since moved into Marsh Farm, a renovated property within the Sandringham grounds. He has recently been seen travelling between the two residences, often accompanied only by his dogs.

Observers noted that he appeared quiet and reflective during these outings.

As the investigation continues, the situation surrounding Andrew remains complex — balancing public scrutiny, legal questions and private family ties.

For Edward, however, the focus appears to be less about controversy and more about maintaining a sense of family support during a deeply challenging time.
