Queen Camilla to Avoid Meeting Epstein Survivors During US Visit

Queen Camilla is not expected to meet victims linked to Jeffrey Epstein during the upcoming state visit to the United States, amid concerns that such a meeting could interfere with ongoing or potential police investigations.

Although there have been increasing calls for the Queen to meet survivors, royal aides indicated that it would not be appropriate to do so while legal matters remain unresolved. A source suggested that any direct engagement could risk complicating proceedings or affecting future cases, which would not be in the best interest of those involved.

Instead, the Queen plans to continue her long-standing advocacy by supporting victims of domestic and sexual abuse through broader engagements during the visit. These efforts will reflect the causes she has consistently championed, without directly involving individuals connected to the Epstein case.

Authorities in both the UK and the US are continuing to examine aspects of Epstein’s activities. In Britain, police have been reviewing allegations tied to flights connected to the late financier, while in the United States, congressional inquiries remain ongoing, alongside investigations into properties previously associated with him.

The issue has also drawn political attention. Some US lawmakers have suggested that a meeting between the royal couple and survivors could carry symbolic importance. However, palace representatives have maintained that legal sensitivities must take priority.

The King and Queen are scheduled to travel to the US from April 27 to April 30 as part of a state visit hosted by Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The trip will include a formal reception at the White House, a state banquet, and a range of engagements highlighting shared interests between the two nations.

The visit is being positioned as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties, with planned stops in Washington, New York, and Virginia. Following the US leg, the King is expected to continue on to Bermuda, marking his first visit there as monarch.
