Woman Finds Tiny White Cat In Dumpster Barely Holding On

Last autumn, Eva Eftekhar stepped outside one cold morning to throw away a few heavy trash bags. Before tossing them into the dumpster, she glanced inside to judge the drop — and noticed something unusual sitting among the garbage.

At first, it looked like a small white stuffed animal with its head stuck inside a container.

Then it moved.

Shocked, Eva quickly called for her daughter, Yasmin, to come look. From above, the two initially struggled to identify the fragile creature because it appeared so thin and motionless.

Realising the animal was alive and needed immediate help, they rushed to grab a ladder from their yard. Eva carefully climbed down into the dumpster while Yasmin waited above with a towel ready.

The animal was weak, filthy and barely responsive.

Once they safely lifted her out, they realised she was actually a young white cat with a can trapped over her head. Despite her condition, she was still breathing.

Fearing she might have serious injuries, the family avoided removing the can themselves and instead rushed her directly to a veterinarian.

To everyone’s surprise, the kitten had no major broken bones or severe cold exposure, though she was underweight, covered in dirt and had several minor wounds and scars.

The cat was microchipped, but no owner information was connected to it.

Although the family already had another cat at home, they decided to temporarily care for the rescued kitten while waiting to see if anyone would come forward to claim her.

Nobody ever did.

After only a couple of days, the frightened little survivor officially became part of the Eftekhar family and received a new name: Angel.

At first, Angel behaved as though she still expected danger everywhere. She ate desperately fast, disliked being touched and reacted defensively whenever anyone approached too quickly.

Simple things most cats enjoy — toys, affection, cuddles — seemed completely unfamiliar to her.

But over time, something slowly changed.

Yasmin began giving Angel space, allowing her to approach on her own terms instead of forcing interaction. Little by little, the cat started realising she was finally safe.

Weeks later, Angel transformed into a completely different animal.

Now she enjoys affection, sleeps beside her new family and has even learned to play gently with the household’s other cat. While she still has a feisty personality, her rescuers say she has become incredibly loving and affectionate.

After surviving alone in a dumpster and nearly giving up hope, Angel finally found what she had likely never truly known before — safety, trust and a family that loves her.
